*tiresome but worth it day*

today is the first day of the final coaching…our first lecturer was quite good. actually he’s the author of a book called “the ultimate nursing guide” anyway, he opened the lecture with two songs the first one was i don’t know the title but it goes like this:”if you could see, you’re the answer to my prayer…” and the second one….i forgot. he has good voice and he’s also quite good looking…he’s not what i’m expecting he is…he also told a very inspiring story….

>>>one day there was a man walking down the forest when he saw a bird egg out of its nest. the man took the egg home and let his hen hatched the bird egg, and soon enough, the egg was hatched. that bird grew up to acting like a chicken (when in fact its a bird). then the man saw this…he said to the bird,” i’d rather see you dead than see you blind of who you really are” and so the man took the bird to the cliff and threw the bird. of course the bird who thought he was a chicken was afraid that he will die…but then suddenly, he realized that he had to spread his wings…the bird did not die because he learned that he was a bird…an eagle at that…and he soared high<<<

moral of the story:

don’t be afraid to know who you really are.

don’t be afraid to spread your wings and fly.

don’t be afraid to soar high

i watched “the story of us” last night and that movie made me think about life again (whew…i’m getting weird =D)…i realized that marriages just don’t fall apart (obviously)…not that i’ve been married but i’ve seen my parents going through a lot of emotional outbursts…if marriage fall apart, it’s not because of one person, it’s a multifactorial thing wherein the two people who used to be so in love just let the love die and now they have to separate because they have out grown the love they had for each other….

…or if they insist on staying together, one might kill the other…(well, not literally)

…but might happen anyway =)

***10 things i hate about you***

 I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair;
I hate the way you drive my car, I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots,
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick;
It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you’re always right,
I hate it when you lie,
I hate it when you make me laugh;
Even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it that you’re not around,
And the fact that you didn’t call.
But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you;
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

what’s the soundtrack

of your life???

HmMmNn…

well me…it’s

SUPERMAN by FIVE for FIGHTING…

i totally relate to this song…it’s really hard when everyone expects you to be so good all the time, like some people you care think that you’re someone invincible when in fact your as weak and lonely as anybody else…it’s like you’re not allowed to cry because you are supposed to be “strong” ….it’s hard to live up the expectations of your friends and family…and you know in yourself that you can’t let them down…

 >>>sometimes, when i am in my introspection trance…i get so weird and when i get weird i think weird things…some sensible…others nonsensical…i tried to define the meaning of life but my pursuit seem to fail…well, let’s see…<<<

life is a living dream, a real dream, some kind of dream that you never wake up to. it only shows how ethereal we are and how passing all these things that we enjoy, things that we love doing, or even things that we hate doing.

life is ironic…life is complex…

notheless, life is truly beautiful, despite confusions, indifference, struggles, ironicity and most especially its complexity…

“Do time really heal all wounds? or you just learn to

live with the pain until it numbs you? funny how you

think that you have moved on after all these years,

but, REALLY, have you??? or are you still

STUCK…STRANDED…at the same spot…and only

TIME differed.”

SAD AS HAPPY
By Joe Brown

If you look at something as being scary,
It is scary,

If you look at someone as pretty,
They are pretty,

The trick is to look at sad,
as happy.

LIFE IS….
by Mother Teresa

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.

Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it.

Life is a challenge, meet it.

Life is a duty, complete it.

Life is a game, play it.

Life is a promise, fulfill it.

Life is sorrow, overcome it.

Life is a song, sing it.

Life is a struggle, accept it.

Life is a tragedy, confront it.

Life is an adventure, dare it.

Life is luck, make it.

Life is too precious, do not destroy it.

Life is life, fight for it.

DESIDERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

^-^don’t believe everything your teacher says to you^-^

while i was reading Gapuz’s Pychiatric book…i remembered my teacher in advance chemistry (way back in highschool) who used to say, “if there is confusion, there is learning” i almost believed her, except that when i reached college everything else became confusing….

so does this mean i’m learning?

i don’t know, too much information processing causes brain exhaustion…which will lead to mixed up of right information and wrong information…there will be also times that some stored knowledge you’ve had will never be retrieved at all and will forever remain in the abyss of your unconsciousness because perhaps the neurons that was used to transmit that information has already degenerated (i’m not sure about this)…anyhow…it still does not prove that i am learning….

so now…

i most believe Confucius who said: “to know that you do not know, that is knowledge”

being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up…

November 11, 2006 dcec Leave a comment

if only i could turn myself into peter pan…i would…

but…guess what…i’m a nomal human being…=)

i guess i could say, peter pan and i have one in common. we both don’t want to grow old. what can i say? everday, you turn a day older but you seem unaware of it until the moment you finally realized that you are a changed person…you changed your perceptions, habits and lifestyle…and so on and so forth…in short…you are overhauled. you are indeed growing older and becoming mature…

to quote The ataris in their song “in this diary” they said:

“being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up…these are the best days of our lives…the only thing that matter is you’re following your heart and eventually you’ll finally get it right.”
